Toys in the Sun Run 2011

Today was the 24th Annual Toys in the Sun Run. We woke up very early to meet with our friends before arriving at the Mardi Gras Casino where the run was going to start. This year I didn't go with my bike  as I wanted to be able to take lots of pictures, so my husband took me on his bike. It was fun riding with him for a change and I was glad I didn't have to ride my bike as it rained like hell when the ride started. Part of highway I-95 and I-595 were closed just for the bikers!  Even though it rained hard everyone was in the spirit of the run and kept on riding, it was awesome!
Once we got there it stopped raining, so we changed our clothes and went into the park. As soon as we entered it started raining on and off until 2pm...
We had lunch, took pictures, won a tank top from Jagermeister (my husband got it for me as I didn't have any luck...) and once the sun came out, we went back home! We were soaked!
Here are some pics I took today. Enjoy!
Did you ride today?

POAT RIDE ~ December 3rd

This next Saturday don't miss the POAT Cops ride for Kids!! This ride is to the TIKI BAR in Islamorada!!!

This semiannual motorcycle ride to Islamorada is to benefit the POAT holiday gifts for surviving children program. POAT provides gifts to the children of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty or on active duty while serving the citizens of Miami-Dade County. This year the police force has added 11 names and now have 71 children in the program, representing 14 different law enforcement agencies.

Holiday gifts for surviving children symbolizes the law enforcement community reaching out and remembering the children of those officers who gave their lives protecting and serving the rest of us. It is important that these children know that their parent's sacrifice was not forgotten.

Registration is $20, for more information go to their site http://www.poat.org/

The ride is amazing and the cause too!! So gather your friends and ride!!!!
